Team Member Spotlight - Georgine Cooper

Something new for the Fairway Talent blog… a chance to hear directly from our team members!  This installment features our very own Georgine Cooper, Product Development Manager at ETA hand2mind.  Here’s what's on her mind:

Some approach the education of children from the angle of equipping them to ”pass muster” in rigorous—and, some would argue, over much—testing.  Children are more inclined to approach learning with a sense of wonder with hands outstretched and minds open to possibility. The ongoing development of our Hands-On Standards STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program honors our foundational belief in the time-tested, research-backed process of hands-on learning by engaging children in learning by exploring, doing, and applying discovery to new thinking.  It has been an exciting experience for the product development team and for the children in classrooms where we are testing it.

Summer Hours for Our Valued Employees!

At the Fairway Talent family of companies, our employees receive an added benefit during the summer months.  From June 13th to August 22nd this year, our offices will close on Fridays at noon so our employees can spend extra time enjoying the summer days, sharing time with family, or just getting a jump start on the weekend.  It's one more way that we demonstrate our commitment to our valued talent!  Of course, our customers are still cared for so there's no break in service.  Now if only those cold temperatures would stop in the Chicagoland area so we can finally see some of that spring weather!  

In the spirit of awarding innovation...

Our newest recipient of the Earnest Spirit of Innovation Award at Daigger was recognized today at the February Town Hall Meeting. Our winner was nominated for her efforts toward creating more efficient operational standards for fulfilling customer orders and ensuring a satisfied customer base. Daigger certainly has "Service Down to a Science" even more now! Below is a picture of our award winner getting Earnest settled in with the Operations Team as he spends the next 30 days with that department before being awarded to the next innovative thinker.

ETA hand2mind Announces Award Winners

The February Town Hall meeting at ETA hand2mind included the announcement of the 2013 President's Awards winners.  Every year at ETA hand2mind, we recognize specific team members for exemplifying each of the core values: Passion, Integrity, Resourcefulness, Collaboration, Spirit, & Balance.  Local and remote employees are considered and the choice this year was tough!  Our Spirit of Innovation employee of the month was also recognized (he's holding Earnest the Monkey) for his groundbreaking efforts supporting technology and the shiny new ETA hand2mind website launching next month.  Congratulations to all award recipients!

Daigger National Sales Meeting 2014 a Great Success!

Daigger team members and valued vendors met to celebrate years of partnership and share best practices at the 2014 National Sales Meeting this week.  Wednesday's events included an awards dinner where our Director of Sales presented opening comments that emphasized the importance of creating sustainable partnerships through commitment and perseverance.  Daigger doesn't just sell laboratory equipment and supplies.  We impact the lives of those who benefit from serious medical research that our products help to facilitate.  In that spirit, we recognized our vendor of the year among the many who consistently deliver high quality and dependable service to Daigger and its customers.  Celebrations continued with after dinner Karaoke and dancing.  We had a blast!
